Semi-Automated Hydroponics System for Beginners

For my mechanical engineering capstone course, my team and I created a semi-automated hydroponics system for beginners. I wrote code to incorporate a camera, sensors, and pumps with a live updating interface and Twilio text updates in order to provide the user with important information.

Celtic Grace UMD Men's Basketball Halftime Performance

As president of the Irish dance club at the University of Maryland, I produced a performance for a D1 men's basketball game halftime show. This involved choreographing the piece, securing practice space, leading practices, selecting and editing music, as well as organizing costumes and adequate flooring.

Theatr

For my iOS handheld programming class, my team created an app that allows users to load nearby movies based on their geographical location and vote along with a group of friends on which movie they prefer to see. It stores results and allows the user to easily share a link to purchase tickets with the group.

Predicting Stock Prices with Reddit Comments

For my data science class, I wrote a tutorial on how to scrape data from Reddit and Yahoo Finance and created linear regression models to see if a reliable model could be created to predict stock prices for several stocks.

Team FORMULA

For my honors citation, I worked with a team of 11 other UMD students to research wireless charging for electric vehicles in roads. I worked on a MATLAB simulation to predict power output for various configurations. We earned our citation after writing a thesis and presenting our work to experts in the field.

Motorized Brio Maze Game

For my mechatronics class, I outfitted an existing maze game so that it could be controlled by an Arduino using an accelerometer and created a 3D rendering of the board orientation in Processing 3.
